大横綱にな って！～Become a great Yokozuna!

 大の里の横綱昇進、おめでとうございます。
　日本人横綱としては、2017年初場所後に昇進した稀勢の里以来、約8年ぶりと
なります。
　幼少時のエピソードとしては、小学4年生の時に交通事故に遭い、自転車が
全壊するほどの事故でしたが、本人は数針縫った程度で、翌日にはいつも通りに
出かけていたそうです。
　また、中学時代には、同じ石川県出身の三輪隼斗という力士の姿をテレビで
見て、中学相撲留学を志したというエピソードがあります。
　相撲界に入ってからの昇進は非常に速かったようです　
　2023年5月場所に初土俵を踏み、2024年1月場所には幕内へ昇進。
　その後、2024年5月場所には新小結で初優勝という目覚ましい成果を成し遂げ
ました。
　2024年9月場所には関脇で2回目の優勝を果たし、初土俵からわずか9場所で
大関に昇進。これは昭和以降で最も早い記録です。
　そして、2025年5月場所には大関として2場所連続優勝を果たし、 最も早く、
横綱昇進が決定しました。初土俵から13場所での横綱昇進は、史上最速です。
　記録づくめの動きですね。8年ぶりの日本人横綱、期待しています。大横綱にな
ってほしいですね。

レオ14世〜Leo XIV

　ロバート・プレヴォスト枢機卿は、アメリカ合衆国出身の聖アウグスチノ修道会の
修道士です。1955年9月14日生まれで、2025年のコンクラーベで教皇に選出され、
「レオ14世」となりました。
　彼は以前、アウグスチノ修道会の総長や、ペルーのチクラーヨ教区の司教などを務
めています。
　彼の神学的な立場としては、社会正義や貧困層への配慮を重視し、シノダリティ
（教会における対話と共同性）を推進するフランシスコ教皇の路線に近いと考えられて
います。
　女性助祭については伝統的な立場、LGBTQ問題については複雑な姿勢を示唆する情報
があります。
　現時点では、教皇としての具体的な政策目標についての詳細は公表されていません。

現在、教皇候補として具体的に名前が挙がっているのは以下の枢機卿の方々です。

• ピエトロ・パロリン枢機卿 (70歳): フランシスコ教皇の側近で、外交手腕が高
