旧暦を活用した季節行事を大いに楽しみましょう！！

本日は旧暦のお正月です。旧正月に待つある内容について調べてみました。 

1. 日本が旧正月を祝わなくなった時期

日本では、明治5年（1872年）に太陽暦（新暦）を採用し、翌年から1月1日を新しい「元旦」として祝うようになりました。このとき、旧正月（旧暦の正月）を祝う習慣は徐々に廃れていきました。ただし、沖縄県や一部の地域では、今でも旧正月を祝う伝統が残っています。

 2. 旧暦の生活との相性について

旧暦は月の満ち欠けを基にしているため、自然のリズムに沿っています。農業や漁業に従事していた時代には、季節や天候の移り変わりに合った旧暦の方が便利でした。ただし、現代の社会では太陽暦が主流であり、学校や会社、国際的なやりとりも太陽暦に基づいているため、旧暦に戻すのは難しいかもしれません。

3. 旧正月を祝う国と具体的な名称

旧正月を祝う国は主に東アジアや東南アジアに多くあります。以下にいくつかの国とその名称を挙げます：

- 中国：春节（春節）

- 韓国：설날（ソルラル）

- ベトナム：Tết Nguyên Đán（テト）

- モンゴル：Цагаан сар（ツァガンサル）

その他の地域でも、中国系やアジア系の移民が多い国では旧正月を祝う行事が行われます。

4. 旧正月の祝い方

- 中国：赤い服を着たり、「紅包（ホンバオ）」というお年玉を渡します。夜には大きなごちそうを食べたり、花火を上げたりします。

- 韓国：家族みんなで集まって、伝統的な服（韓服）を着て、先祖に感謝する儀式を行います。子どもたちは大人に「セヘボク マニ パドゥセヨ（新年おめでとうございます）」と挨拶し、お年玉をもらいます。

- ベトナム：家をきれいに掃除して、家族や友達と食事を楽しみます。「バインチュン」という特別な食べ物を作ったりします。

5. 旧暦に戻すべきか？

旧暦の方が自然の流れに合っているという意見もありますが、現代の社会では、交通機関や国際取引などで新暦が便利に使われています。そのため、旧暦に完全に戻ることは難しいですが、旧暦を活用して季節行事を楽しむのは素敵なアイデアだと思います。日本でも、もっと旧暦を活用した季節行事を周知して大いに楽しむことも必要だと思います。

Countries that celebrate the Lunar New Year are mainly located in East Asia and Southeast Asia. Here are some countries and their names:

- Vietnam: Tết Nguyên Đán

- Mongolia: Цагаан сар

- Singapore, Malaysia**: Chinese New Year

Other regions, especially countries with a large Chinese or Asian immigrant population, also have events to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

4. How to celebrate the Lunar New Year

There are special events to enjoy with family and friends during the Lunar New Year. For example:

- China: They wear red clothes and give out "hongbao" (red envelopes). They eat a big feast at night and set off fireworks.

- Korea: They gather as a family, wear traditional clothes (hanbok) and hold a ceremony to thank their ancestors. Children greet adults with "Sehebok Mani Paduseyo (Happy New Year)" and receive New Year's money.

- Vietnam: People clean their houses and enjoy meals with family and friends. They make a special food called "Banh Chung."

5. Should we go back to the lunar calendar?

Some say that the lunar calendar is more in line with the natural flow of things, but in modern society, the Gregorian calendar is used conveniently for transportation and international transactions. Therefore, it is difficult to completely go back to the lunar calendar, but I think it is a great idea to enjoy seasonal events using the lunar calendar. I think it is also necessary in Japan to make more people aware of seasonal events that use the lunar calendar and enjoy them to the fullest.
