大船渡の山林火災～Forest fire in Ofunato

 　岩手県大船渡市で発生した山林火災は、2月26日に発生し、現在も消火活動が続いています。この火災により、少なくとも84棟の建物が被害を受け、男性1人の遺体が発見されました。
　東北地方の気象状況について、奥羽山脈を挟んで西側（日本海側）と東側
（太平洋側）で気候が大きく異なります。

　このため、奥羽山脈の西側では豪雪となりやすく、東側の太平洋側では降水量が少な
く乾燥した気候となります。
　大船渡市は太平洋側に位置しており、降水量が少ないため、乾燥した気候が続き、
山林火災が発生しやすい状況となっています。
　現在も消火活動が続いており、被害の拡大が懸念されています。
