春分の声～The voice of the vernal equinox

 　短かった昼の時間が、長かった夜の時間に追いつくのはいつか。春分の日が3月20日
にやってくる。実際に日の出と日の入りの時刻を調べてみました。

3月16日　日の出：午前5時55分　日の入り：午後5時54分

3月17日　日の出：午前5時54分　日の入り：午後5時54分

3月17日が昼と夜が半分になります。
　国立天文台によれば、日の出と日の入りは「太陽の上辺が地（水）平線に一致する時
刻」という。
　太陽の直径分だけ日脚が伸び、昼の時間が加算される。「昼夜半分」が、春分の日
より少し前になる理由のようです。
　季節は春に向かおうとしていますが本日は小雪が舞い降りています。
　この時節「暑さ寒さも彼岸まで」のことわざがあったり、「彼岸すぎまで七雪」とも
いわれます。
　春分の時期にふさわしい詩として、唐代の詩人・杜甫の『春望』をご紹介します。

国破れて山河在り、城春にして草木深し。

時に感じては花にも涙を濺ぎ、別れを恨んでは鳥にも心を驚かす。

烽火三月に連なり、家書万金に抵たる。

白頭掻けば更に短く、渾べて簪に勝えざらんと欲す。

　春分に関連する短歌として、与謝野晶子の作品をご紹介します。

　春過ぎて木蔭に小く咲きいでぬ末の子に似る山吹の花

遥かなる　空に響けり　春の声

東風（こち）に乗りて　山河を包む

白き嶺（ね）も　緑芽吹けば　ほころびて

When will the short daylight hours catch up with the long nightlight hours? The Vernal Equinox comes on March 20th. We looked up the actual sunrise and sunset times.

March 17th Sunrise: 5:54 AM Sunset: 5:54 PM

March 17th is when the day and night will be half.

According to the National Astronomical Observatory, sunrise and sunset are "the times when the upper edge of the sun coincides with the horizon."

The length of the day extends by the diameter of the sun, and the daylight hours are added. The "half day and night" seems to be the reason why it is a little before the Vernal Equinox.

The season is heading towards spring, but light snow is falling today.

At this time of year, there is a proverb that says "The heat and cold will last until the equinox," and it is also said that "Seven snows will fall until the equinox."

As a poem appropriate for the vernal equinox, we introduce "Longing for Spring" by Du Fu, a poet of the Tang dynasty.

The country is torn apart, but the mountains and rivers remain; it is spring in the castle, and the vegetation is thick.

At times, when I feel sad, I shed tears over the flowers; when I resent parting, the birds startle me.

Signal fires continue in March, and letters to families cost thousands of yen.

If I scratch my bald head, it becomes even shorter; when all is said and done, I want it to be no better than a hairpin.

As a tanka poem related to the vernal equinox, we introduce works by Yosano Akiko.

Spring has passed, and in the shade of the trees, the Yamabuki flowers resemble the youngest child.

The voice of spring echoes in the distant sky.

Riding on the east wind, it envelops the mountains and rivers.

The white mountains also bloom as green buds sprout.

It's like the melting snow is singing.

The joys and sorrows of the human world intertwine.

A time when light and shadow are equal.
