人々の心に寄り 添う存在～A presence close to people's hearts

 　日本のラジオ放送は、1925年（大正14年）3月22日に始まりました。今年
（2025年）でちょうど100年になりますね。
　ラジオは、100年間で無数の言葉を届けてきましたが、その中でも忘れられない
一言を選ぶのは難しいですね。
　それでも、多くの人の心に刻まれているのは、戦争や災害時の「臨時ニュース」、
スポーツの名実況、そしてリスナーとの心温まるやり取りではないでしょうか。
　たとえば、終戦を告げた昭和天皇の「玉音放送」や、阪神・淡路大震災、東日本大震
災の際に発信された安否情報や励ましの言葉は、多くの人の人生に深く刻まれています。
　ラジオが100年間努力してきたこと、それは「つながり」だと思います。
　電波を通じて、知らない人同士を結びつけ、音だけで情景や感情を伝え、時には孤独
を和らげ、励まし、考えさせる。視覚に頼らずとも伝わる言葉の力を、ずっと磨いてき
たのです。
　未来に向けてラジオが伝えたいこと、それは「変わらない価値」と「新しい挑戦」
でしょう。
　インターネットやAIが発達し、情報はあふれていますが、人の声には「ぬくもり」
や「親しみ」があります。
　ラジオはその強みを活かしつつ、新たな形で進化し続けるはずです。
　例えば、ポッドキャストやストリーミング配信と融合し、よりパーソナルでインタ
ラクティブな存在になっていくかもしれません。
　ラジオの世界がこれからどうなっていってほしいか——それは、「人々の心に寄り
添う存在であり続けること」。
　雑音の中でも、忙しい日常の中でも、ふとした瞬間に「耳を傾けたい」と思える存在
であり続けてほしいですね。

Radio broadcasting in Japan began on March 22, 1925 (Taisho 14). This year (2025) will mark exactly 100 years. Radio has delivered countless messages over the past 100 years, but it is difficult to choose a single word that is particularly memorable. Still, what is engraved in the hearts of many people are the "breaking news" during wars and disasters, the famous sports commentaries, and the heartwarming exchanges with listeners. For example, the "Gyokuon-hoso" broadcast by Emperor Showa announcing the end of the war, and the safety information and words of encouragement sent out during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and the Great East Japan Earthquake are deeply engraved in the lives of many people. I think that what radio has striven to do for 100 years is "connection." Through radio waves, it connects strangers, conveys scenes and emotions with just sound, and sometimes eases loneliness, encourages, and makes people think. It has been honing the power of words to communicate without relying on sight. What radio wants to convey for the future is "unchanging values" and "new challenges."

With the development of the Internet and AI, information is overflowing, but there is still warmth and familiarity in the human voice.

Radio will continue to evolve in new ways while leveraging these strengths.

For example, it may merge with podcasts and streaming services to become more personal and interactive.
