乙女の滝～Otome Falls

　気温が上がってきたので抜井川上流の乙女の滝に愛犬と訪ねました。滝につながる道
には雪が残っていて大変でした。
　なっちゃんは久しぶりの雪に楽しそうでした。鹿と思われる足跡も見つかりました。
　乙女の滝は、長野県佐久穂町にある高さ約15メートルの滝で、抜井川の清流が二つに
分かれて落下する様子は壮観です。
　滝の名前は、狩りをする若者とこの滝で髪を洗う乙女が出会い、やがて結ばれたとい
う伝説に由来しています。
　滝の周囲には遊歩道が整備されており、近くで滝を眺めることができます。
　ただし、道が荒れている箇所もあるため、注意が必要です。
　乙女の滝は、四季折々の景色を楽しめるスポットとして知られています。特に秋には
紅葉が美しく、写真愛好家にも人気です。また、冬には滝が凍結し、氷柱となる幻想的
な風景が見られることもあるようです。
　イワナ釣りの男性が二人いらっしゃいましたが道路も閉鎖されているので車の交通も
なく融けた雪道を除けば一人と愛犬だけですのでゆっくり歩けました。

後方が滝です。

As the temperature has risen, I visited Otome Falls upstream of the Nukui River with my dog. There was still snow on the path leading to the waterfall, which made it difficult to walk.

Nacchan seemed to enjoy the snow after a long time. We also found footprints that looked like deer's.

Otome Falls is a 15-meter-high waterfall in Sakuho Town, Nagano Prefecture, and the sight of the clear waters of the Nukui River splitting into two and falling is spectacular.

The name of the waterfall comes from a legend that a young man who was hunting and a young woman who was washing her hair at the waterfall met and eventually became a couple.

There is a promenade around the waterfall, so you can view the waterfall up close.

However, please be careful as there are some rough parts of the path.

Otome Falls is known as a spot where you can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons. In particular, in autumn, the autumn leaves are beautiful, and it is popular with photography enthusiasts. In winter, the waterfall freezes over, creating a fantastic scene of icicles.

There were two men there fishing for char, but the road was closed so there was no traffic and, apart from the melted snow, it was just me and my dog, so I was able to walk at a leisurely pace.
